 After several fires in public buildings with many casualties as a consequence, more and more people become aware of the necessity to use fire retardant materials. Flame retardant decoration textiles play an important role in this matter and help make the buildings a lot safer. They prevent the fire from spreading through the curtains.
CURIOSA only makes fabrics, that match up to the most severe standards and have received the M1 certificate. They are inherently flame retardant because of the fibre (mostly Trevira CS) and this permanently, even after washing. This in contrast with fabrics that have been made fire retardant by a treatment.
